Procurement Specialist   Working in close coordination with the production team, you will be the lead buyer responsible for the purchasing of required services, components, and materials for production, while adhering strictly to our production/QMS plans and procedures.  
Responsibilities: Ensure cost-efficient, timely, and accurate procurement of parts and servicesSource, qualify, contract with, and on-board new vendors Analyze vendor proposals and recommend best purchase optionParticipate in supplier negotiations Participate in the vendor quality evaluation and audit processes Identify opportunities to minimize costs and develop cost savings initiatives Issue purchase orders to vendor Maintain supplier/vendor filesMaintain accurate purchasing data in accounting/ERP systemPrepare transportation and/or customs related documentationStrict adherence to Quality Management Systems, plans and standard operating procedures  
Requirements: Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience using a business accounting systemExcellent with excel and proficient with other MS office programsHigh standard for quality, attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities Good judgment, problem solving, and initiative Excellent communication skills Must attend the worksite in Batavia in person daily, and reside in NY State preferably Western New York, or the Finger Lakes Region
